soluCLEAN: Here's Why We've Had a Rebuild

The soluCLEAN website has just been rebuilt from the ground up. It goes way beyond a colour change and a new banner. We're proudly launching a completely new site, replacing the one that had been live since our last refresh in 2022.

Here's why, and what it changes for the people who use it.

We'd outgrown the old site

soluCLEAN started in 2018 as a water-soluble alternative to single-use plastic cleaning bottles. Since then, the range has grown to 32+ products, we've picked up ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications, alongside Vegan and Cruelty Free International status, and our partnership with the Made Blue Foundation has funded over 17 million litres of clean drinking water. We're cleaning 2,200+ Greggs stores, working with partners like Hako UK and PHS, and supplying facilities teams, distributors and cleaning contractors across the UK and into Europe. Not bad for a company that started with an idea and a small team in Castleford.

The old site was built for a smaller version of the business. It didn't have anywhere to show sector-specific solutions, walk a distributor through onboarding, or let a facilities manager work out their own savings before picking up the phone. So rather than bolt more pages onto something that had stopped fitting, we started again. Fitting, really, for a brand built on getting rid of things that don't work anymore.

What's new

The new site is organised around who's using it rather than just what we sell (revolutionary, we know). There are dedicated pages for the sectors we work in: care homes, schools, healthcare, retail, transport, manufacturing, local authorities, so it's clearer how the products apply to your environment specifically, rather than a single generic pitch for everyone.

There's also a savings calculator, so you can put in your current container sizes and usage to see the plastic, CO2 and cost impact of switching before you ever have to speak to us. No sales pitch required, just maths. Our case studies now carry real numbers rather than vague claims: how Greggs cut transport costs by 90% across their estate, or how one contractor went from a full pallet of ready-to-use bottles down to four packets of soluCLEAN pre-dosed concentrates.

Probably the biggest addition is the customer portal, live now for anyone who wants it. Distributors, cleaning teams and new starters can work through various resources, including a drag-and-drop wallchart builder (our Marketing team love this). Right now, the training portal is launching in beta phase. We have a long list of updates and enhancements, including a full training module and certification, waiting in the wings. We'll keep you updated on the latest improvements, but for now we'll leave you with a clue. Think, order and delivery hub meets education centre.

Our distributors (and new ones, hi if you're new) have a whole new business development tool in our website. I know, best suppliers ever. We have an intelligent 'get in touch' process which allows web traffic to search their products & post code to find their closest distributor to service their requirements. For new users this means a direct line of communication with the right person from the get-go. For distributors, this means a new source of warm and interested potential buyers.

What it means for you

If you're already a customer, the day-to-day shouldn't change much beyond things being easier to find (no re-training required, promise). If you're a distributor, the training and marketing support that used to live in email threads and PDFs now has a proper home. And if you're weighing up whether to make the switch, you can now get a genuine answer to "how much would this actually save us" without a sales call. Just the calculator, your numbers, and no one chasing you for a decision.

None of this changes what soluCLEAN is about, cleaning that doesn't rely on shipping water and plastic around the country. It just means the website finally looks like the business we've become.

The new site is now live. If you spot anything that doesn't work as expected, let us know, we'd rather hear about it from you than find it in the analytics three months from now. Go on, have a poke around.
