Total Support Services: 6,000kg of Plastic Saved & Counting
TSS (Total Support Services) is an independent cleaning contractor with a philosophy built around delivering consistent, quality, cost-effective and innovative services. Having built long-standing relationships across a wide range of industries and sectors, TSS partners only with suppliers who share those same values, and can deliver on them.
Why Challenge
As a newly appointed contractor to the John Lewis Partnership in 2016, TSS needed a cleaning product range that met the strict approval requirements of one of the UK’s most respected retailers, across department stores, supermarkets, offices and distribution centres. Beyond JLP compliance, TSS also needed products that could support their wider client base in meeting increasingly important CSR and environmental objectives, with ethical accreditations becoming a growing priority across the board.
The Solution
soluCLEAN was already the approved product range for John Lewis and Waitrose, making it the natural choice for TSS from day one. The single dose, soluble sachet format eliminated the need for bulky liquid products, dramatically reducing storage space and simplifying use for operatives on the ground. With Cruelty Free, Vegan and EcoFlower certifications, soluCLEAN gave TSS and their clients the confidence that they were partnering with a genuinely ethical organisation. The three-year shelf life and precise dosing certainty meant no product, and no money, ever went to waste.
The Results
Seeing the benefits of the soluCLEAN system first-hand through the John Lewis Partnership, TSS went on to implement soluCLEAN across a number of their other client sites, including world-famous, iconic heritage locations. To date, TSS estimate they have saved over 6,000kg of plastic from entering the waste stream across their client premises, a landmark result that continues to grow.
Customer Testimonial
“We started using the SoluPak products in 2016 as they are the approved range for John Lewis and Waitrose. It was quickly obvious to me that the system has many benefits that would be appreciated by our other clients for contribution to their CSR and Environmental objectives. Ethical accreditations are becoming more and more important to our clients and to us as an organisation, the Cruelty Free, Vegan and EcoFlower certifications give confidence
that SoluPak is an ethicalorganisation.
The biggest benefit for the end-user is the huge reduction in single use plastic waste, we estimate that we’ve saved over 6000 KGS of plastic from entering the waste streams in our client premises. With the space saving, the simplicity in use, the ethical accreditations and the huge volume reductions for our distributors there are many great reasons for partnering with SoluPak.”
